Hello!!
And welcome to my blog.
My name is Dianne, and I'm a home decorating and DIY enthusiast and generally a very crafty person. (At least I think so ... sometimes ...)
I got started at a young age. Here I am at my Grandma's house, age 8, making Christmas ornaments.
That's me, the blond, rocking the Brady Bunch striped pants. I've got my feet firmly planted, toes pointed out, all business. My sister, Jan, was always there for the fun, too.
When I first started this blog, I split my time between a condo in DC during the week and a country home at the Maryland Eastern Shore on the weekends. Both places were built in the 1890's. I love old houses!!
Last year I sold my city condo and moved to a small town in Maryland, to a house that was built in the 1800's. (I guess houses built in that decade speak to me.) While the house was already in great shape, I've been working hard to make it my own, and I've always got a project or two in the works.
Joining me is my sweet dog, Fiona, an English Springer Spaniel. As you can see from her magazine choice, she's also very interested in home decor.
Is that a guilty face or what??? While a city dog at heart, she loves our new home in the country.
She also loves her new brother, Atlas, a very large Golden Doodle, who joined us after we moved and Fiona told me she needed some company now that she didn't have her friends in the city dog park to play with (i.e., she destroyed the house while I was gone).
Things are never boring here. And I love that.
